I am a lecturer and PhD candidate at The Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) at University of Borås where I teach within the field of information seeking, needs and use. My research interests concern information literacies in academia and scholarly information practices. Before joining SSLIS I worked as a librarian for more than 15 years, a career that was rounded of as deputy library director at Skövde University.
In my dissertation project I am exploring the information practices of design science scholars and in particular their information sharing activities. The research object is approached from a practice-theoretical perspective with a threefold focus: information sharing in relation to ICTs; in relation to the socio-cultural context of this group of scholars; and in relation to the scholars’ epistemological backgrounds. A theoretically imbued key concept in my project is the idea that there is a reciprocal action between the activities of information sharing and the aforementioned foci. My main supervisor is Professor Olof Sundin. Assistant supervisor is Jan Nolin.
